I have had Betsy work on all of my
horses for as long as she has been in business. I have found that all of the horses have benefited from her work in
many different ways. I have show horses, hunt horses, lesson horses, and just good old pleasure horses, and they all
have very positive reactions from her work. I can’t recommend her highly
enough!

Betsy has made a significant difference to my older pleasure horse who has numerous
physical issues. She has worked actively with the veterinarian to pinpoint and address areas of concern, identify areas
where he’s compensating, and relieve pain and tightness. Today, he has finally recovered to a maintenance routine.
He is happy and moving freely—what a joy to see! Betsy has also loosened up my young chunky warmblood cross and in doing so has helped him to develop
a better sense of his body. Through massage and stretches as a regular part of his program, he is learning to use himself
in a more balanced, efficient manner, and looking very comfortable doing it. Finally, Betsy’s skill and abilities have enhanced numerous therapeutic riding horses’ potential to provide
comfortable, balanced rides to their challenged riders. Regular massages help to provide consistency of movement, longevity,
and a happy outlook on their work.

My horse Lucca has been Betsy’s
client for over four years. Betsy does amazing work with Lucca; she works on him twice a month and is so
in tune with him both physically and emotionally. We couldn’t do without her! ~Lynne Lovell, Bedford, NY
My horse Virginia got her first massage over five
years ago when a friend gave me an Equine Alchemy gift certificate. I was impressed enough that Virginia has had a massage
at least once a month ever since. A massage for your horse may seem like an unnecessary expense but I have come to depend
on Betsy's input. Betsy can tell me where my horse is muscle sore, which is something that as a rider I can't
pinpoint. We compare notes and try to figure out what might be the cause. Saddle fit? Different training
regimen? Sore hocks? And Betsy works on those "knots" so Virginia can feel better.
It is so
obvious that Virginia loves her massages. The body language is very clear. I feel good knowing I'm giving
my horse something enjoyable. Betsy loves her work and develops a close relationship with each animal. I often
schedule an extra massage when I am out of town because I know she will give my horse a little extra TLC.
Betsy
is very professional. She takes meticulous notes and calls with detailed information after every massage. She
is discreet and low-key, quietly doing her job without disrupting any barn routines.
I highly recommend a regular
massage as another way to know how your horse is feeling. Your horse will thank you!

Honestly, I was skeptical about the
effectiveness of equine massage therapy. Other therapists had worked with my horse but I hadn’t noticed a difference.
But one session with Betsy and I was hooked. He feels like a different horse. A former racehorse, my horse’s back gets
sore and it can affect his performance in the show ring. Betsy’s massages help him tremendously. A visit from
her before a show ensures that he will be able to perform at his best. And my horse loves his massages so much that
he starts drooling when Betsy shows up at his door! ~Jessica Cherry, North Salem, NY
What a difference it makes to have Betsy coming
to the farm every week to give a thorough massage to the Pegasus Therapeutic Riding horses. Our horses get a massage
monthly or bi-weekly according to their individual needs. Betsy
has been the massage therapist for our equine staff for the past six years. Her professionalism is key to our schedule
and record keeping. She is always on time and ready to get right to work. She recognizes changes with the horses
and helps identify causes for soreness they are experiencing. Along with our vet, we communicate about how to best handle
each horse’s needs throughout the year. Betsy is a great asset to me in my job as the Equine Coordinator. ~Cheryl Garrett, Equine Coordinator,
Pegasus Therapeutic Riding
